Product Description

Pigtail-Type Taillight Body for all 1965-1966 Mustangs.

If you're rewiring or replacing the taillights on your classic 1965-1966 Mustang, you'll probably need a new taillight body. This Pigtail-Type Taillight Body is a direct fit replacement for taillight wiring that has two small female pigtails on the end of it. The studs are already mounted in order to thread the body into your Mustang's taillight panel. It comes pre-drilled and threaded to easily mount your taillight bezels and lenses.

We’re here with a replacement taillight body for your 1964 through 1966 Mustang. This is a direct replacement body known as the pigtail style due to the wiring coming out of the back here. It has the studs already mounted to thread the body into the Mustang taillight panel and it's pre-drilled and threaded to mount your taillight bezels and lenses. Here you can see a comparison between the pigtail style and the plug style. If you're using an aftermarket wiring harness, you want to make sure you order the pigtail. If not, you'll want to check your Mustang first to see what style you'd need. The taillight bodies are sold individually, but they're also available in complete kits.
